NBC’s hit singing competition The Voice is playing another round of musical chairs as season four coach Shakira has confirmed she will be leaving the red swivel chair.
The Latina singer, who recently gave birth to a baby boy with honey Gerard Piqué, says her bundle of joy is restless from the constant travel.
“It was a hard decision for me to make, because I’m really fond of the coaches, the people in production and everybody around me,” she told E! News. “And I really enjoyed The Voice, but I also have a musical career and I’m also a mother now and my poor baby’s so tired flying such long distances. He already has more miles than any pilot. So I think I have to give him a little break, and we’ll see what happens in the future.”
Rumors are also mobbing the ‘net that fellow judge Usher may not return, given his starring role as boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard in the upcoming flick Hands Of Stone set for a 2014 release.
Original panelist Christina Aguilera has also solidified her comeback while Cee Lo Green is reportedly in talks to re-occupy his seat.
